What is the OCF 18 Treatment Plan Form? How is it used after an Accident in Ontario?

For more severe injuries or those whose recovery is slowed down by pre-existing conditions, the OCF 18 treatment plan is recommended. If additional therapy is necessary after the OCF-23 treatment plan has ended, it can also be submitted. According to the OCF-18 treatment plan, the therapist must make an educated guess as to how many sessions and how long a patient will need therapy. It is only used in circumstances where it is most likely that you will require additional treatments because it has a higher approval threshold.

The OCF-18 is a form that must be filled out and submitted to your insurance provider in order to get the medical and rehabilitation benefits that are due to you as a result of the cause and nature of your injuries in a car accident.

If the proposed treatment plan is supported by medical evidence, is essential, and is reasonable, then it should be covered fairly and promptly. Therefore, the OCF-18 Treatment Plan must be completed and submitted to the insurance if you wish to have your treatment covered. Sadly, the majority of insurance companies continue to reject perfectly good treatment options.
